Void Fight
Yearly event

THE VOID
Their hunger was endless. Cold, empty beings craving for warmth. Light. Drawn to it - no - hunting it. Chasing every spark they could find. Their dark forms devoured the flames to feel content for just the smallest fraction of time, before their shapeless forms were yet again hungry for more.

They are large predatory species that exist in the world of Colsentia, constantly hunting for light and warmth. Void is a dark shapeless matter. At first, these figures tend to be small, but they can join together to form larger clumps of matter, getting more dangerous when they do so. They can often shapeshift into our darkest fears and enjoy the thrill of the hunt, chasing their prey with wicked enjoyment. They are not interested in flesh and blood, but are drawn to the light. Purity, Hope, Goodwill, Determination. Void are corrupted vengeful spirits with nothing good left in them. They chase after every source of light they can find, be it from fire, electricity, the energy some humans have and of course - Stelciar and Phosray. |
While Void is usually invisible to Earthlings, it can happen that they absorb so much light that they grow big and strong enough for Earthlings to percieve them. It is also possible for people, who consider themselves to be psychic or those who have special senses to see a Void during a Lunar Eclipse. It is also possible for ordinary people to see a void moving past their eyes from time to time.
Humans who have been attacked by Void in the past may develop the ability to 'see' things that shouldn't be seen, causing them to notice Stelciar as well. Even so, less than 1% of humans have the ability to gain such powers.
THE background
It was so far away from their home. They were scared. They didn't want to leave, they weren't ready yet. It took a long time for the spirit to convince them to follow. Now they were starting to regret that decision. They wanted to go back home and watch over their family. Instead they were now staring down a deep dark and restless ocean. It felt worse than a grave. Noone would remember where they were laid to rest. Noone would come to grieve. They couldn't just... go... under...

Stelciar are important protectors, who guide and assist souls on their way to the ocean. They are also helping protect the small Phosrays that are getting born out of the souls extracted determination and hope. Because of this, Merciar are the first line of defense to fight back the Void. |
wHAT happens in the event
Every year a huge Void Monster appears and the Colsentia Citizens must defeat it quickly to stop the destruction. firepower and Fighting

Each Stelciar has an amount of Firepower (FP) that depends depends on its wings and tail. You can see the FP on every Stelciars profile. In the example of Stardust, she has 5 Fire Power, 3 from her Sea Jelly Wings and 2 from her Classic Tail. Rarer traits have generally higher FP, though there are still some differences. The Special Sea Jelly Wings have 3 FP for example, while Special Blade Wings have 4. When you submit a prompt you’ll receive the FP of your Stelciar as Event Currency, which can be spent in the Event Shop. Merciar gain +5 FP when being used in prompts, as they are the first line of defense that have been trained to fight the Void. Phosray can't be used in prompts on their own, but they can act as support and give a bonus multiplier when drawn together with Stelciar. |

Recordbook
2023

A Void that resembles a carnivorous predator. Their strategy was simple: be fast and deadly. They lowered for hours, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Waiting for Stelciar and Phosray to let their guard down, be tired or for a quick conversation between switching shifts. A small time window was all they needed. All of their energy got released at once - pouncing, holding down.
Blink of an eye, one second of breathing in carelessly could be your last.
In their hot-headed fight whole roads got destroyed and needed to be rebuilt. A lot of buildings were pierced and shaken but not enough to be torn down.
Fumi03s animation about this documented fight
2024

Serpent-like body let this Void monster lay down close to the ground. Between rocks and trees they slithered slowly along the ground. Their eyes everywhere, catching every movement. A single target wasn't of any interest. They learned from past failures and were patient. The tip of their tail was sharp like that of a scorpion, ready to strike at any moment. But instead of seeking out single targets to pump them full of posion, this Void learned to strike and slash multiple beings at once.
They used to burrow into the ground, causing big sinkholes to appear afterwards and causing a lot of trees to fall down during heavy winds because their roots got disturbed.
2025

This Void used the newfound knowledge of Merciar to its advantage. A lot more Stleciar and Phosray came to visit the ocean and look at its wonders. This monster waited, paitently. Mouth so big that it could be mistaken for islands. Waiting. Waiting. Until the birds settled down on its big tongue, Phosray and Stelciar drawing near to investigate the strange rock. Only it wasn't one. With a big albeit sluggish movement it closed it gigantic jaw, trapping everything inside.
Anything that it swallowed but wasn't light got digested and converted in oily sticky substance, posing a threat to the wildlife, plants and nearby beaches.
