Fruit Bats
Habitat
Fruit Bats are most commonly found within Eridas Forest, a vast tropical rainforest located at the southernmost region of Colsentia. The forest's warm climate, fertile soil, and incredible variety of fruit-bearing trees provide the perfect habitat for them to thrive. Most colonies settle near the banks of the Venus River and Vela River, where food is plentiful throughout the year.
Although they can occasionally be seen traveling beyond Eridas Forest during seasonal migrations, few choose to leave permanently. The abundance of fruit, flowering plants, and towering trees makes Eridas Forest their ancestral home, and many colonies have lived there for generations.
Behavior
Fruit Bats are gentle, highly social Stelciar that spend most of their lives in close-knit colonies. Being nocturnal, they become active after sunset and rest during the day while hanging upside down beneath large branches or inside hollow trees. They enjoy decorating themselves with flowers, vines, leaves, and especially the fruit they cherish most, often weaving them into accessories or incorporating them into festival attire.
Every Fruit Bat develops a strong attachment to one favorite fruit, which often influences their colors, markings, and personal style. While they may enjoy many kinds of fruit, one usually remains their lifelong favorite and becomes a symbol of their identity.
Ecology
Fruit Bats are among the most important pollinators and seed dispersers in Eridas Forest. As they travel between flowering trees each night, pollen collects on their fur and wings before being carried across the forest, while the seeds from the fruit they consume are scattered throughout the landscape. Their nightly flights help regenerate forests, expand orchards, and support countless plant species that depend on them for reproduction.

Corallis
Corallis
The Corallis is an ancient pedigree of Merciar dedicated to protecting the coral reefs of Colsent Bay, home to the largest coral reef in present-day Colsentia. For countless generations, members of the lineage have served as guardians of the reef, preserving its fragile ecosystem and safeguarding the marine life that depends upon it.
Among the Corallis, only one Merciar may bear the Coral Crown at a time. The crowned Corallis serves as the Leader of the Corallis Lineage and the Protector of the Reef, guiding the other guardians and overseeing the health of the reef. Unlike a traditional monarchy, the Coral Crown is not a symbol of political power, but a sacred responsibility passed down through generations. When the current leader steps down, the crown is inherited by their eldest child, whether son or daughter, who is expected to continue the lineage’s duty and uphold the traditions of the Corallis.
Habitat
The Corallis Lineage resides throughout Colsent Bay, with many members living among the Great Coral Reef. The crowned Corallis traditionally lives closest to the heart of the reef, where they can watch over the bay and coordinate the efforts of the other guardians.
Behavior
Members of the Corallis Lineage are known for their patience, compassion, and strong sense of responsibility. They devote their lives to caring for the reef, mentoring younger guardians, and protecting the countless creatures that call it home. While every Corallis shares the responsibility of defending the reef, all members respect the guidance of the crowned Corallis, whose decisions shape the future of the lineage.
Ecology
The Corallis Lineage plays a vital role in maintaining the health of Colsent Bay's coral reef ecosystem. They restore damaged coral, protect vulnerable marine species, and monitor changes within the surrounding waters. The Coral Crown is believed to share a spiritual connection with the reef itself, allowing its bearer to sense disturbances within the ecosystem and respond before lasting damage can occur.
